about us

Grá, is Irish for the word LOVE. Tá Grá agam ort – I love you. The word originates from the Latin, ‘Gratus’ meaning Thankful/Grateful/ Beloved.

So from a term of endearment to an affectionate expression to your beloved, Gra is the most used term in the Irish Language.

I chose the Dragonfly as a logo because it signifies change, transformation,  depth, power and self-realisation. The Dragonfly navigates through life adapting to its circumstances.  They remind us that anything is possible with imagination and vision.

The Head of the Dragonfly is the traditional Irish Ring called the Claddagh ring. lt represents Love (Heart) Loyalty (Crown) and Friendship (Hands).

The body and wings of the Dragon fly is made of Celtic spirals and knots symbolising Life, Death, and Rebirth. Spirit, Mind and body. Past, Present and Future. Mother, Father and Child. Land, Sea and Sky.  And finally Power, Intellect and love. This  never ending cycle of life is rooted in our sense of destiny and belonging.

Gra ceremonies is about honouring, promoting and cherishing those special moments in your life, creating a meaningful, personal ceremony full of joy, diversity and connection.

In a Wedding ceremony, the journey you have shared has brought you here together to declare your love and commitment to each other.

I am a Legal Solemniser with Entheos Ireland, an amazing organisation that is redefining religious, traditional and outdated ideas that no longer serve a modern society.  I am about inclusivity, everyone is welcome to celebrate love in a myriad of ways that embraces their lives.

My life’s experience working with young people, parents and the bereaved has given me the desire and enthusiasm to always create something beautiful, personal and heartfelt for those unforgettable moments of meaning and love .

In my work as a Secondary School Chaplain, I have facilitated many different types of ceremonies, from a 1st year Welcoming Ceremony to the 6th year Graduation .

My path led me to this moment, so together we can discover a more authentic, personal and memorable celebration that fully embraces and encapsulates a Gra moment for you, your family and friends to cherish forever.

Originally from Wicklow Town, I am forever drawn to the ebb and flow of the ocean. In challenging times it has held me in its rhythmic soothing sounds.  In happy times I have celebrated its vastness and majestic openness.  This appreciation of the sea and its diversity steered me towards leading Retreats and facilitating mindfulness and wellbeing programs.

Listening, supporting, accepting, and being present to young people has been a privilege for me for many years now.  Establishing trust and confidence has made possible the healing process for that young person in my care.

These unique insights into people’s lives has given me some understanding and appreciation of their hopes and dreams.

So, together, in my work as a celebrant with you, we can design a unique and heartfelt ceremony that reflects all that is meaningful and personal to you, your family and friends.

I am based in Co.Wexford and travel all of Leinster to officiate ceremonies, but I can travel the length and breadth of Ireland and further afield if you want me to.
